Central America


Central America is the southernmost, isthmian portion of the North American continent, which connects with South America on the southeast.

Sandwiched between to hugely charismatic continents Central America more than holds its own. Absolutely, it’s a relatively small area, stretching from in the north to panama in the south, with a personality all of its own, full of vibrancy. Pair it with the cultural hub of Cuba and this exhilarating mix only gets better.

One of the biggest draws the truly magical Mexico, is its not only home to idyllic beaches, magnificent cites but the extraordinary Mayan Culture. Costa Rica is known as one of the most bio-diverse places on earth and also an excellent destination surfing and kite surfing, Belize is a spectacular diving destination having the second largest reef system in the world.

Interesting facts about Central America:

  • The Pan-American Highway runs through all the Central American countries except Belize. It breaks for 54 miles in a spot called the Darién Gap – the only place the highway breaks in the Americas.
